Keltner Channels
The Keltner Channels technical indicator is a volatility-based trading tool that consists of two lines plotted above and below a simple moving average. The upper line is typically drawn two times the Average True Range (ATR) above the moving average, while the lower line is typically drawn two times the ATR below the moving average. The purpose of the Keltner Channels is to identify potential breakouts, trend reversals, and overbought/oversold conditions in the market.
Trading bots like HaasOnline can use the Keltner Channels as a basis for automated trading strategies. For example, a trading bot can be programmed to enter a long position when the price breaks above the upper Keltner Channel line and exit the position when the price falls back below the moving average line. Conversely, the bot can enter a short position when the price breaks below the lower Keltner Channel line and exit the position when the price rises back above the moving average line. The Keltner Channels can also be used to set stop loss and take profit levels for trades.
