Chande Momentum Oscillator (CMO)
The Chande Momentum Oscillator (CMO) is a technical indicator that measures the momentum of a security’s price. It was developed by Tushar Chande and is used to identify overbought and oversold conditions in the market.
The CMO is based on the difference between the sum of the gains and losses over a certain period of time. The CMO oscillates between +100 and -100, with readings above +50 indicating bullish momentum and readings below -50 indicating bearish momentum.
Trading bots like HaasOnline can use the CMO in a variety of ways, including as a signal for trend following or as part of a larger trading strategy that incorporates multiple indicators. For example, a bot might buy when the CMO crosses above +50 and sell when it crosses below -50. Alternatively, a bot might use the CMO in conjunction with other indicators, such as moving averages, to confirm signals or to help filter out false signals.
