BEP-2

BEP-2 is a token standard on Binance Chain, which is a blockchain platform created by the cryptocurrency exchange Binance. BEP-2 tokens are used to represent assets on the Binance Chain and can be used for a variety of purposes such as payments, trading, and access to decentralized applications (dApps) built on the Binance Chain. The BEP-2 standard provides a set of rules that developers must follow when creating new tokens on the Binance Chain to ensure compatibility with existing wallets and exchanges. Some popular tokens that use the BEP-2 standard include Binance Coin (BNB) and Tether (USDT) on the Binance Chain.

BEP stands for Binance Evolution Proposal. It is a proposal put forward by the Binance team for improving the Binance Chain or Binance Smart Chain network. The purpose of BEPs is to enable the Binance community to contribute to the development and growth of the Binance ecosystem. BEPs can cover a wide range of topics, including new features, technical improvements, and even changes to the network’s governance structure. Once a BEP is approved by the Binance community, it can be implemented by the Binance team.
